Do I need to own an encoder?
No. If you already have a TVU, LiveU, Vislink or Belabox, our connections go straight into it. If you don’t, you’ll be able to add a kit to your plan — rented per trip or bought outright.
What do I actually get?
Multiple cellular connections that work across countries without swapping SIMs, one shared pool sized for streaming, a dashboard that shows every connection live, and one monthly bill. Optional on top: the encoder kit and a cloud studio with automatic be-right-back.
I already stream through another cloud studio. How hard is switching?
One test stream. Your Lumbus studio has its own SRT and RTMP address from day one — point your encoder at it, paste your channel keys, test off-air, and cut over when it looks right. Your current provider keeps running until you cancel it, so nothing goes dark. Founding crews get a switching call where we rebuild scenes and overlays together.
Can I edit my streams afterwards?
Yes. Every recorded stream downloads as standard MP4 files that open straight in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut — long streams arrive in parts you drop on the timeline back-to-back. Recordings are kept for 7 days on Cloud and 30 on Cloud Pro, so pull them down after each stream and they’re yours for good.

We’ll publish the full list with pricing before launch. Early-access creators get it first and can tell us where they’re heading so we prioritise those routes.
Does it throttle upload?
Streaming is upload-heavy for hours, and that’s exactly what we’re building for. We’ll publish the fair-use terms in plain language before anyone pays.
