What it does by itself.
Weak signal puts your Low bitrate scene up; a lost signal puts Be right back up; Live comes back on its own once the link has held, with a margin so it never flaps. Your mods can switch it from chat — brb, live, fix, bitrate — and a schedule sleeps and wakes the machine, never while anything streams.

- Output quality
- Send H.264 or H.265 at the bitrate your connection carries — 4 to 8 Mbps is the usual range at 1080p60, more for 4K. Studio makes its own output from that one feed (1080p60 on Studio; 1440p60 and 4K60 on Studio Pro for YouTube and custom RTMP — Twitch, Kick and TikTok take 1080p at most), so a change of output quality never restarts anything mid-stream.
- Recordings
- Studio recordings are kept for up to 14 days. Studio Pro recordings are kept for up to 30 days. If storage fills before the retention period ends, recording pauses until files are removed or more storage is added. The live stream continues.
- Hours on air
- Hours on air are counted per destination: an hour sent to three platforms is three hours. Hours above 1080p count more, because they carry more video — 1440p60 counts double and 4K60 four times. Nothing is ever cut off when an allowance runs out: you get a notice at 80%, 90% and 100%, and more hours are added from Plan & add-ons.

Can I keep OBS?
Yes. Point OBS at your studio’s address over SRT or RTMP and keep your scenes where they are. Studio adds Be right back from your own signal, the platforms and the phone controls.
Do I need a Unit for a cloud studio?
No. Studio takes a stream from a phone app, OBS on a laptop, or straight from a browser. A Unit is for streaming on the move over mobile networks, and neither one needs the other.
Can I edit my streams afterwards?
Yes. Every recorded stream downloads as a standard video file that opens in the popular editing apps. Recordings are kept for a set time, so download the ones you want to keep.

Yes. Every recorded stream downloads as standard MP4 files that open in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut. Recordings are kept 14 days on Studio and 30 days on Studio Pro, so pull them down and they’re yours for good.
Will Studio ever end my stream by itself?
Lumbus never ends an active broadcast just because your connection disappears. A lost signal, a schedule, a restart of the studio software or an update never end a stream you are running — the stream ends when you end it, with a slide to confirm. What the machine cannot promise at any moment it says on your studio page, in plain words.
