Yes — we deliver Lumbus SIMs to fit in your own rig, and Lumbus Studio takes any transmitter/encoder that can send SRT or RTMP. You keep paying your equipment provider for their own bonding licence: Lumbus Connect does not replace another manufacturer’s proprietary service unless we have verified that compatibility with you.

What you are never charged for.
- A modem kit — the four modems are inside the Unit.
- A bag — the belt pack (Niña, Pinta) or backpack (Admiral) is in the hardware price.
- A compulsory SIM subscription — the Unit works on any connection you already have.
- A compulsory cloud plan — Studio is optional, and monthly.
- A rental contract or a minimum term on the hardware.
- An activation fee, and no overage surprise: you get alerts before an allowance runs out.
- A dead stream when a Lumbus Connect pack runs out — a free 20 GB bonding allowance bridges you to the next pack.

- How the Units stream
- Combine several connections with Lumbus Connect (multi-link bonding) on any Unit. On one connection, Pinta and Admiral stream without it; Niña streams through it and starts with 100 GB in the box. SIMs and Studio are optional.
- The 100 GB in the box
- Every Niña and Pinta includes a 100 GB starter bonding allowance for Lumbus Connect, valid for three months — enough to set up, test and run your first bonded streams. Lumbus Connect is used when combining two or more connections, and on Niña for every stream. The SIM allowance is sold separately.
- Billing rules
- Hardware is a one-time purchase. The SIM allowance is monthly, or bought for a single trip. It is priced by zone and works in every country in its zone. Studio is a monthly subscription with a monthly allowance of hours on air and viewer hours; nothing is cut off when an allowance runs out, and more can be added for the month. Extra recording storage is monthly. Lumbus Connect is bought in packs, not monthly; packs expire on the validity shown, and a pack that runs out is bridged with a free 20 GB bonding allowance until your next one. Taxes, duties and shipping are shown separately. Nothing is preselected, and no service is added without you switching it on. Usage alerts before an allowance runs out. No surprise overage charges. You get an itemised summary and confirm it in writing before anything is billed.
Questions
Can I use a Lumbus studio with a LiveU unit?
Lumbus Studio takes SRT and RTMP from any transmitter/encoder, so a unit that can send SRT or RTMP can stream to a Lumbus studio. Lumbus Connect does not replace another manufacturer’s bonding service unless we have verified that compatibility with you; you keep paying them for it.
Can I buy the hardware without a subscription?
Yes. Niña and Pinta are one-time purchases. SIMs, Lumbus Connect, Studio and storage are optional services you can add later or never.
Can I use my own SIMs?
Yes, if they work with your network and the Unit. Lumbus SIMs can also go in streaming hardware you already own.

Yes, subject to network and device compatibility. On Pinta and Admiral, one active connection needs no Lumbus Connect and several bonded do; Niña streams through Lumbus Connect whatever the count. And it works the other way round: Lumbus SIMs are fitted in a Lumbus Unit when you buy one, or delivered to you to fit in hardware you already own.
Does Lumbus rent hardware?
Niña and Pinta are available to buy only. Admiral projects are handled privately by the sales team.
