Bonding splits your stream across every connection you have and puts it back together at the destination. With Lumbus Connect the far end is your studio’s address or your platform, over SRT or RTMP; the Units speak both.

What SRT adds.
SRT recovers lost packets without letting delay build up, which is why it survives a bad connection where RTMP stalls. Bonding is the other half: with several connections carrying the same stream, a lost packet on one is sent again on another.
A Lumbus Unit sends RTMP, RTMPS, SRT, HLS, UDP-TS and RTSP. Lumbus Studio takes SRT, RTMP and bonded SRTLA in.

Lumbus Connect counts more than your connections carry: the bonded stream in, plus a copy out per destination. Per 100 GB of bonded streaming, about 183 GB to one platform, 267 GB to two, 433 GB to four — or 183 GB to any number of platforms through Lumbus Studio.

- The 100 GB in the box
- Every Niña and Pinta includes a 100 GB starter bonding allowance for Lumbus Connect, valid for three months — enough to set up, test and run your first bonded streams. Lumbus Connect is used when combining two or more connections, and on Niña for every stream. The SIM allowance is sold separately. The included bonding allowance’s three months run from your first Lumbus Connect sign-in on the Unit — on Niña that is your first stream, on Pinta the first time you combine connections. Your Unit ships pre-addressed to your studio without that sign-in, so nothing starts until you do.
- Packs
- Lumbus Connect bonding allowances are bought in packs, not monthly. Each pack has an allowance and a validity, and you buy the next one when you need it. Packs are prepaid and expire on the validity shown. A bonding allowance is not a SIM allowance.

- If a pack runs out mid-stream you get a 20 GB bonding allowance free, so you can finish and buy your next pack — nothing is cut off.
