One stream in. Twitch and Kick out, at the same time.

Send one stream to your Lumbus studio and the machine makes a copy for each platform, so your upload stays one stream. Turn any destination on or off while you are live, and see both chats on one overlay.

Set it up.

  1. 01Add Twitch and Kick as destinationsThe stream key for each is where the platform keeps it: Twitch under Creator Dashboard → Settings → Stream, Kick under Creator Dashboard → Settings → Stream key.
  2. 02Send your stream to your studio’s addressFrom a phone app, OBS, a Unit or straight from a browser — over SRT, RTMP or bonded SRTLA.
  3. 03Go liveEach destination toggles on and off while live, tests off-air with colour bars, and reconnects on its own.

Per platform.

Up to 5 destinations at once on Studio, 20 on Studio Pro. Studio sends 1080p60; Studio Pro sends 1440p60 and 4K60 where the platform takes it.

Your upload does not double.

The copies are made on your studio machine, so two platforms cost your connection nothing more than one. If you stream through Lumbus Connect, the same holds: with Lumbus Studio as the destination, all your platforms count as one.

What does count per platform is your Studio plan’s hours on air: an hour sent to two platforms is two hours. Studio includes 1,500 a month, Studio Pro 3,000, and nothing is cut off when they run out.

Two plans, monthly, cancel any time.

Studio is never bundled into the hardware. Niña and Pinta work without it.

Technical detailsHours on air, output quality per platform, and the chat overlay
Hours on air
Hours on air are counted per destination: an hour sent to three platforms is three hours. Hours above 1080p count more, because they carry more video — 1440p60 counts double and 4K60 four times. Nothing is ever cut off when an allowance runs out: you get a notice at 80%, 90% and 100%, and more hours are added from Plan & add-ons.
Output quality
Send H.264 or H.265 at the bitrate your connection carries — 4 to 8 Mbps is the usual range at 1080p60, more for 4K. Studio makes its own output from that one feed (1080p60 on Studio; 1440p60 and 4K60 on Studio Pro for YouTube and custom RTMP — Twitch, Kick and TikTok take 1080p at most), so a change of output quality never restarts anything mid-stream.
Chat on screen
One overlay carries Twitch, Kick and YouTube chat, placed on your canvas like any other source. Your mods switch scenes from chat with brb, live, fix and bitrate.

Questions

Do I need a Unit to stream to two platforms?

No. Studio takes one stream from a phone app, OBS or a browser and sends it to every platform you add. A Unit is for streaming over mobile networks on the move.

Does streaming to two platforms use twice the data?

Not on your side. Your connection carries one stream to your studio; the copies are made there. Through Lumbus Connect, all your platforms count as one when Lumbus Studio is the destination. Your Studio plan’s hours on air do count per platform.

Can my mods control it from chat?

Yes. Chat commands for your mods — brb, live, fix and bitrate — switch scenes without you touching the phone.

Is there a bitrate limit on what I send?

Send at the quality your connection can carry. Studio makes its own output from it, so changing the quality viewers get never restarts your stream.
